๐ The final update: a new look, a guided start, and a little nudge
This is the last Titan update (well at least major update). I've left Home Depot, so I won't be adding anything new, but I wanted to go out with a solid one. Titan should keep working as long as Workforce Tool stays the same. Thanks to everyone who used it and sent feedback.
Titan has a fresh design, a welcome tour, and alerts when your schedule changes. You can now search for your store, and calendar events name it so Google Maps opens the store itself.
Released inv1.6.1
NewWelcome tour when you install Titan: connect Google Calendar, sign in to Workforce Tool (Titan picks up your sign-in by itself), choose whether you want notifications, and run your first sync.
New"Finish setting up Titan" checklist in the popup and side panel shows what is done and what is left, with a button back into the tour.
NewSchedule change alerts. When you open Workforce Tool, Titan checks whether your shifts changed since your last sync and tells you: a banner in Titan, and a dot on the floating Titan button.
NewTitan asks before sending notifications, and sends a sample so you can see they work. Turn them on or off any time in Settings.
NewOn browsers that can't show notifications for extensions, Titan shows a small notice on the Workforce Tool page instead.
NewReplay the introduction any time from Settings, under About.
NewFind your store: start typing a store number, city, state or zip in Settings, under Account, and matching stores appear as you type. Small typos are forgiven, and what you type stays on your device.
NewNearest store: type a zip code or city that has no Home Depot and Titan shows the closest stores and about how far each one is.
NewOption to show the store in the event title, such as "Home Depot Shift - Cashier @ Atlanta #0159". It is off by default; turn it on in Settings, under Calendar Events, if you work at more than one store.
NewCorrect a store: if Titan has a store's name or location wrong, choose Edit next to it in Settings, under Account, and type your own. Your version goes on your calendar events and is kept on later syncs.
NewCheck on map: a link beside each store opens Google Maps with exactly what Titan will put on your events, so you can confirm it before you sync.
NewReport wrong details: from a store's Edit screen you can email Titan a correction, so the store list gets fixed for everyone.
NewFirefox support: Titan now works in Firefox. Firefox has no side panel, so Titan opens as a popup there.
ImprovedNew design across the popup, side panel and Settings, matching titanwft.net, in light and dark.
ImprovedNew Titan logo in the browser toolbar and throughout the extension.
ImprovedSmoother animations, which step aside if your device is set to reduce motion.
ImprovedThe daily sync limit is now 7 (it was 20). The counter turns yellow when 3 are left and red on the last one.
ImprovedBefore your last sync of the day, Titan asks you to confirm inside the panel instead of in a browser pop-up.
ImprovedStore addresses are looked up every time you sync, so a store you pick up a shift at gets its address straight away.
ImprovedYour primary store's address is used for any shift that doesn't say which store it is at.
ImprovedEvent locations now name the store and its address, such as "The Home Depot, 650 Ponce De Leon, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA", so Google Calendar and Maps open the store itself.
ImprovedThe "Role @ Store" title format now uses a short store name, such as "Cashier @ Atlanta #0159", instead of the full address.
ImprovedThe Google sign-in step reminds you to tick the Google Calendar box, the usual cause of "Error 403".
ImprovedScrollbars, checkboxes and menus now match Titan's dark or light theme.
ImprovedWith the System theme, Settings now switches with your device without being reopened.
ImprovedThe orange Titan button on Workforce Tool now also appears in Safari, Firefox and other browsers without a side panel. Clicking it opens Titan's popup; if the browser doesn't allow that, a notice points you to the Titan icon in the toolbar.
ImprovedTitan asks Google for less: it can see your list of calendars, manage the calendar it creates, and add or change events. It no longer asks for full control of all your calendars. Google's screen now shows three boxes, so tick all of them (or "Select all") the next time you sign in.
FixedStore addresses could fail to be looked up, leaving a store number in the calendar event instead of an address.
FixedThe primary store chosen in Settings was not being used.
FixedNotifications could fail without any sign. Titan now falls back to a notice on the page.
FixedAn LDAP ID typed into the old first-run card was saved without encryption. That card is gone: Titan detects your LDAP ID and stores it encrypted.
FixedDropdown arrows in Settings sat against the edge of the field.
FixedThe Overview page in Settings did not use the full width.
FixedIf you picked one of your own calendars in Settings, a sync could delete your personal events in the weeks it synced, or overwrite one that had the same start and end time as a shift. Titan now only changes or removes the events it added itself.
FixedReset Calendar deleted every event on the selected calendar, and its warning named the wrong calendar. On a calendar you picked, it now removes only the shifts Titan added, and the warning names the calendar it will change.
FixedIn Opera, clicking the Titan icon in the toolbar did nothing. It now opens the side panel.
๐ฌ Clearer errors and a calendar of your choice
Every sync and sign-in problem now explains itself in plain words, with a code you can look up. You can also choose which Google Calendar your shifts go to, leave out shifts you don't want synced, and see a history of every sync.
Released inv1.6.0
NewChoose which Google Calendar Titan syncs to, instead of always creating "Home Depot Work Schedule".
NewPick a color for your shift events in Google Calendar.
NewShift filter: leave out specific roles, departments, or stores when syncing.
NewSync history in Settings shows when each sync ran and how many shifts were added, updated, or removed.
NewBrowser notification when a sync finishes or fails.
NewOne-click export of your upcoming shifts as a calendar file (.ics) from the popup.
NewSetup guide on first run walks you through your LDAP ID, Google sign-in, and first sync.
NewSettings now links straight to your browser's shortcut page, so you can change the keyboard shortcut that opens Titan.
NewYour LDAP ID and Google sign-in are now stored encrypted on your device.
ImprovedPlain-language error messages. Every sync and sign-in problem now says what went wrong and what to do next, with a short code such as G-PERMISSION. Look up any code in the error reference.
ImprovedGoogle's "error 403" is now explained as what it really is: calendar permission not granted, an account that has never opened Google Calendar, an account blocked by an administrator, or too many requests.
ImprovedStore, department, and job title are read correctly from more Workforce Tool schedule formats.
ImprovedTitan has the same name and description on Chrome and Safari.
ImprovedThe About page in Settings now states that Titan is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Home Depot.
ImprovedSharper Titan icon in the browser toolbar.
Fixed"Error 403" dead end when the Google Calendar box was left unticked on Google's sign-in screen. Titan used to save the sign-in anyway and then fail every sync until it was reinstalled. It now tells you what to tick, and the next click reopens Google's screen.
FixedGoogle sign-in window opening by itself when Settings was opened. It now only opens when you click something, and Settings has a "Load my calendars" button for when the calendar list needs a fresh sign-in.
FixedGoogle sign-in window opening tiny with no way to resize it. It now opens at a proper size in the middle of the screen.
FixedLDAP ID not being saved from the Home Depot setup screen.
FixedCalendar event settings (calendar name, title prefix, title format, description options, reminders) were saved but not used in synced events.
FixedInterface Mode setting (Side Panel or Popup) left both turned on. Choosing one now turns the other off.
FixedSide panel sometimes failing to open when Titan detected your schedule.
Fixed"Open Safari Settings" button not working on Safari.

๐ Store addresses on every shift
Titan now fills in the store's name and address on each shift, including when you work at more than one store. Google sign-in also works the same way across Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers.
Released inv1.5.0
NewStore addresses are filled in automatically. Titan looks up the name, street, city, state, and zip of each store it detects.
NewMulti-store support: if you work at more than one location, each calendar event gets the right store address.
NewCalendar locations are written so Google Calendar and Apple Calendar link them to maps.
NewSupport for Canadian and Mexican stores.
NewKnown Stores in Settings lists every store Titan has detected. Set your primary store or remove ones you no longer work at.
ImprovedGoogle sign-in now works the same way on Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, and other Chromium browsers.
ImprovedClearer messages when Google sign-in is cancelled or fails.
ImprovedAn expired Google sign-in is cleared right away, before Titan asks you to sign in again.
ImprovedYou no longer type your store address by hand. Titan detects your stores for you.
Fixed"Custom URI scheme is not supported on Chrome apps" error on Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, and other non-Chrome Chromium browsers.
FixedGoogle sign-in could fail in the published extension because of a setup problem on our side.
FixedMore than one Google sign-in window could open at the same time.
