Home Depot Workforce Tool: A Practical Guide for Associates
WFT is where you check your schedule, clock in and out, view your timecard, and request time off. Here's what every HD associate should know, plus how to get more out of it.
What Is Workforce Tool?
Workforce Tool (WFT) is Home Depot's scheduling and workforce management platform. It's available at wft.homedepot.com and through the HD mobile app. Associates use it to view upcoming shifts, check punch history, see timecards, and submit time-off requests.
WFT is managed by Home Depot and requires your LDAP credentials to log in. It's separate from your personal Google or email account.
How to View Your Schedule on WFT
Your schedule is on the main WFT dashboard. After logging in, you'll see your upcoming shifts for the current week and the next few weeks depending on how far out your store has posted schedules.
How to Check Your Timecard
WFT shows your punch history and timecard for the current pay period. You can see your clock-in and clock-out times, total hours, and any discrepancies.
How to Request Time Off
Time-off requests are submitted directly in WFT. Availability and request rules vary by store, so check with your department manager or HR for specific policies.
Sync Your WFT Schedule to Google Calendar
WFT doesn't have a built-in export to Google Calendar. If you want your shifts to show up next to your personal events (school, gym, appointments) you have to either enter them manually or use Titan.
Titanis a free browser extension that reads your WFT schedule in the background and syncs it to a dedicated "HD Work Schedule" Google Calendar automatically. Install it once and click Sync whenever your schedule changes. That's it.
Titan is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Home Depot or Google.
Tips for Using WFT More Efficiently
Bookmark wft.homedepot.com
Add WFT to your browser bookmarks bar so you can check your schedule in one click without searching.
Check WFT Tuesday through Thursday
New schedules are typically posted mid-week. Checking Tuesday through Thursday gives you the best chance of seeing next week's shifts as soon as they're available.
Re-sync whenever your schedule changes
If a shift gets added, removed, or moved, open WFT and hit Sync in Titan to keep your Google Calendar up to date. Titan only updates what changed, so nothing gets duplicated.
Sync to Google Calendar with Titan
Get your HD shifts into Google Calendar so you can see your work schedule alongside personal events without switching apps.
Screenshot your schedule as a backup
If WFT has downtime or you're in a no-signal area, a screenshot of your schedule gives you a fallback.
Review your timecard weekly
Catching missing punches early is easier than correcting them after the pay period closes.
